Reid Nagle spends his time building businesses and training racehorses. Reid currently owns a rapidly growing regional transportation company, All-in Removal, and has a real estate business that owns and manages Black Prong, a recently-acquired equestrian RV park in north central Florida, and Big Lick Farm, a thoroughbred training center also in north central Florida. Reid was the Chairman and CEO of SNL Financial, the leading global sector specific purveyor of news and corporate, market and financial information, until 2010. After New Mountain Financial acquired a majority interest in SNL in 2011, he remained a director and was SNL’s second largest shareholder. In September 2015, SNL was sold to McGraw Hill Financial, when it had 3,300 employees working in 23 offices in 11 countries around the globe. Prior to starting SNL in 1987, Reid spent ten years in the financial services industry. He was the CFO of a New Jersey savings bank (also serving as vice chairman and CAO) and subsequently worked with the financial services and arbitrage affiliates of Ivan F. Boesky and Co.
Reid graduated with a B.A. from Georgetown University, and from Johns Hopkins University with an M.A. and Ph.D. in Political Economy.
